Club Rules and Information



Assistance Points 

For general assistance please go to Reception or the Sales Desk. If you require assistance in the gym please locate a gym instructor or go to the Gym Desk. If no gym instructor is available please go to Reception or the Sales Desk. 

Car Park  

The car park is for members’ use whilst at the club. Members are not permitted to use the car park when not using the club. The club does not accept responsibility for vehicles in the car park at any time. 

Changing Rooms, Lockers and Shower Area

Please dry yourself before leaving the shower area and entering the main changing room area.

The club does not accept responsibility for any items left in the changing rooms. 

Changing room lockers are available for members’ use whilst at the club. Members are not permitted to leave items in lockers when they are not at the club. The club does not accept responsibility for items stored in the lockers at any time. 

Entry 

All members are required to check-in on entry. Please check-in using the Fitsense app or your membership card. If you are unable to check-in using the Fitsense app or your membership card please give your name to Reception so that they can check you in.

First Aid

All staff are first aid trained. First aid kits are located at Reception and the Gym Desk. A defibrillator is located at the Gym Desk  

General 

Please be respectful of everyone who trains and works here and do not swear or use language that may be offensive to others. Please wear clean training clothes and training shoes - a training top, training shorts/bottoms and closed toe shoes must be worn. 

Gym

Please wipe all equipment that you use with the antibacterial wipes provided.

Please be prepared to share equipment during busy periods. 

Please return all equipment that you use to the appropriate storage area after use.

Please unload barbells and plate-loaded equipment after use and return plates to the racks provided. 

If you are training after performing other physical work please consider showering before entering the gym. 

Please keep grunting and other loud noises to a minimum. 

Health and Safety 

Equipment and area checks are carried out daily as part of our cleaning and maintenance procedures. If you notice an issue with a piece of equipment or area please report this to a member of staff.

Water fountains are available on both levels of the gym. For hygiene reasons please use the water fountains to fill up water bottles rather than drinking directly from them. 

Risk assessments are reviewed annually or more frequently if circumstances dictate.  

The fire alarm system is serviced annually and fire alarm checks are carried out weekly. Please make yourself aware of evacuation routes, fire exits and assembly points.   

Inductions 

All new members are offered an induction at no charge when they join. Members are strongly advised to take advantage of this offer. Inductions can be booked at Reception. If you are unsure about how to use any equipment or how to perform an exercise or activity you must seek advice from a gym instructor.  

Other Businesses 

Space within the club may be rented to other businesses. Bookings, payment and all other arrangements should be made directly with the proprietors of these businesses. 

Personal training 

Only Fields Fitness approved personal trainers are permitted to train members at the club. Arrangements for personal training are to be made directly with the personal trainer and not the club.

Sauna

Swimwear must be worn whilst in the sauna area.

Please take a towel with you into the sauna area.

Please dry yourself before leaving the sauna area. 

Sauna opening times are subject to change. 

Please familiarise yourself with the sauna safety procedures displayed in the sauna area.

Studio and Fitness Classes 

Fitness classes are booked via the Fitsense app or at Reception.

The fitness class timetable is subject to change.

Fitness classes should not be booked more than three days in advance of the class.

Outdoor shoes are not permitted in the Studio

Chewing gum is not permitted in the Studio.

Members should inform the instructor prior to the fitness class if they have a medical issue or injury that the instructor should be aware of.

Members should wait until the previous fitness class has finished and cleared away any equipment before entering for their fitness class. 

Slam balls and heavy dumbbells, barbells and kettlebells should not be used in the Studio.

Members can use the Studio if no fitness classes are taking place providing any equipment is returned to where it was found. 

All equipment should be wiped down after use with the antibacterial wipes provided. 

Sunbed

Sunbeds are available at an additional cost to the membership fee and can be booked via Reception.

Please follow the guidance provided when booking your sunbed and familiarise yourself with the safety procedures displayed in the sunbed room. 

Workshops, Masterclasses and Other Events 

From time to time the club may host workshops, masterclasses and other events with guest speakers and instructors. Additional charges may be in place for these workshops, masterclasses and other events. Booking is via the Fitsense app or at Reception. 

Alcohol, Drugs and Other Illegal or Banned Substances

Alcohol, recreational drugs, performance enhancing drugs and other illegal or banned substances are not permitted on club premises. Members should not enter the club and use the facilities under the influence of alcohol, recreational drugs, performance enhancing drugs or other illegal or banned substances.
